Message From Head of Department

The Department of Biochemistry at Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital is a state of the art department with the latest in technology employed for the teaching training, diagnostic and research purposes. It boasts of a molecular lab as well as a cell culture lab. These labs are ably supported by the other research facilities of the university resulting in an enabling teaching, training and research environment. The department boasts of a faculty from the top institutes of India with great length and breadth of experience that enriches the department and creates an environment of excellence.


MISSION & VISION

Mission:

  • The department of biochemistry in involved in the teaching and training of under graduate and post graduate students of the Era university in the subject of medical biochemistry. It also runs doctoral programs in which young researchers use the facilities of the department to conduct novel and pathbreaking research. The department also runs a state of the art diagnostic laboratory which provides diagnostic services to the patients of the Eras Lucknow medical college and hospital 24x7.

Vision:

  • The vision of the department is to push the boundaries of healthcare research and then translate those benefits to patient care. The department strives to educate world class doctors, heath care workers, professionals and scientists that would ably support the healthcare needs of our nation and contribute to the overall betterment of mankind.

Eligibility: Must have passed class 12th with science stream subjects (physics, chemistry, and biology). NEET qualified

Eligibility: Must have MBBS degree from an institution recognized by NMC. Must have completed one year rotatory internship after MBBS. NEET-PG qualified Foreign medical graduates must have cleared the FMGE screening test and have permanent or provisional registration with NMC.

Eligibility Criteria for the M.Sc. Programme

  • Candidates who have passed the three years B.Sc. degree course with Zoology and Chemistry as the major subject or B.Sc. in Life Sciences or B.Sc. with Anthropology as major subject or a degree equivalent to the above from any recognized university would be eligible for admission to the program.
  • PROVISION OF LATERAL ENTRY: Admission will be taken directly into 3rd semester of the course which will be opened to those having MBBS/ BDS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BAMS or B.P.T. qualification from the recognized institute.
