The journey of Era College of Pharmacy under the umbrella of Era University, has been magnificent one. It was established in 2016 with the motive to provide quality pharmacy education at Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral levels.
In this fast paced competitive world, conceptual knowledge, practical learning and the ability to innovate are the key focus areas of our Department with an emphasis on quality. The quality of teaching and learning and research has been highly appreciated by the regulatory body Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Era College of Pharmacy has made significant inroads in the sphere of pharmaceutical education, research and development. This has been achieved by outstanding student participation in various activities supported by highly qualified and motivated faculty, a state of art infrastructure and learning system. College aims to thrive in the area of industrial as well as clinical and community based research. To accomplish this vision, Institute are in the process of developing sophisticated laboratories, well equipped machine rooms; central instrumentation facility, full-fledged hospital with more than thousand beds, , molecular biology laboratory, Computer Aided Drug Design centre, which satisfies the practical and research need of the students.
At Era College of Pharmacy we believe that a teacher touches a student’s life forever, creating and moulding a person in a positive way. It has highly experienced, qualified, motivated and committed faculty with varied backgrounds and experiences from all areas who bring with them a rich variety of experience and knowledge from the world of academia and industry, encouraging the students to think and find their own creativity by promoting a wide range of ideas and the open expression of diverse opinions while maintaining an atmosphere of integrity, civility and respect.
Teaching and Learning is a significant part of Academic programme. It’s monitoring and progress by continuous evaluation is an integral part of the curriculum. Faculty plays a major role in monitoring, personal and professional counselling and moulding the career of the students. The Department provides individual mentorship to the students at UG level to solve their academic and non-academic grievances by discussing in the Mentor-Mentee meetings.
Era College of Pharmacy is running all the pharmacy programmes viz; D Pharm., B. Pharm., M. Pharm.(Pharmaceutics), and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences. It has the advantage of having medical college and more than one thousand bedded Hospital, In a net-shell, our pharmacy aspirants get a diverse range of rich career paths, which can include pharmacy roles in the pharmaceutical industry, managed care, health providers, government agencies, and academia as well as in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and many other areas.
Apart from the study, we provide the opportunity to the students to take part in the Co-Curricular activities which includes personality development by sharpen their communication skills, expression skills, public speaking, participation and sense of belongingness through different activities like debates, recitation. Art and craft, creative art competitions, classroom activities like reading, group discussions etc.
The students through co-curricular activities learn essential ethical values about different cultures, religions, events of national and international importance as well as discipline and life ethics. They learn to understand different religions, values, social ethics, patience, empathy, motivational skills, compatibility and contentment.
