She has several awards to her credit, FAIMER fellowship by G.S.M.C., Mumbai, and the most coveted in Medical Education. She successfully completed 17 National and International projects and has mentored the several number of Ph.D., M.D. students and postdocs. She has more than 170 publications in National and International journals and has attended more than 200 conferences in India and other countries. Recently she published a research article in 21 Impact factor journal (Journal of Medical Virology) on COVID-19. She also organized more than 20 National and International conferences. She has various prestigious memberships in scientific organizations like the Indian Society for Reproductive Biology and Comparative Endocrinology, Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, Society for Free Radical Research India, International Academy of Biomedical Sciences (IABS), Indian society of Personalized Medicine (ISPM). In addition to research, she has other administrative responsibilities of the University as well.

The department was established in 2019 with the aim of better patient care by providing early diagnosis, risk assessments, better prognosis and planning optimal treatment. The department with the aim to ENSURE BETTER PATIENT CARE by enabling each patient to receive early diagnosis, risk assessments, and optimal treatment is working on genetic, pharmaco-genetic, dietary, environmental, and metabolic aspects of individual patient in different diseases. This department is currently working on various diseases such as Type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), cardiovascular diseases, osteoarthritis, celiac disease, breast cancer, chronic myeloid leukemia, neurodegenerative diseases, cervical cancer etc. The Department has well trained team of faculty members who are involved in both intramural and extramural research projects funded by ICMR, DBT, DST, CST-UP etc. and holds publications in various indexed national and international journals endorsing the exemplary research work carried out in the department.
