About the Clinical And Therapeutic Nutritionist Program

The course is intended for those medical practitioners who wish to achieve a better understanding of nutrition management in order to improve patient outcomes, especially with those who are commonly seen suffering from conditions such as obesity, diabetes, breastfeeding, cardiovascular disease, cancer and eating disorders.

The course educates students about the role of therapeutic diets in the management of chronic illnesses and other nutritional disorders. The role of nutrition is not only to keep one healthy but also to help overcome diseases and act as a supplement to the treatment. It forms an important part of the diet therapy in the treatment along with the medicines given to the patient.

ELIGIBILITY

10+2 with physics, chemistry, and maths / biology with minimum 50% marks.

  • professionals in nutritional clinics, hospitals, extended care facilities and in the food industry
  • nutritionist in a government or private hospital
  • freelance nutrition consultant or as a diet and supplement consultant
