The goal of the course is to address common musculoskeletal problems and impart knowledge of assisting patients with orthopedic problems through application, adjustment and removal of variety of casts and splints. The diploma educates students about plaster and synthetic cast application.
The university introduces students to both invasive and non-invasive procedures in a lab setting. The curriculum covers details about different fractures and orthopedic diseases, nursing procedures like vital recordings, IM/IV/SC injection administration, oxygen therapy, nebulization, catheterization and IV infusion.
