Pharmacology is one of the most common and important subject among medical, and pharmacy courses, divided into several branches such as pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, toxicology and pharmacotherapy. Pharmacokinetics is what body does to the drugs, pharmacodynamics is what drug does to the body before elimination. Toxicology deals with the adverse drug reaction and toxicity, pharmacotherapy deals with drugs used for the management of diseases. It is one of the most exciting areas of drug research which includes preclinical and clinical studies.
Department of Pharmacology aim to bestow quality pharmacy education to the learners, trains the students in learning Anatomy and Physiology, Pathophysiology, Pharmacology & Toxicology. The department comprises of enthusiastic senior as well as young dynamic faculties with keen interest in academic and research excellence.
Students are motivated to conduct research activities with emphasis on effect of drugs in animals. The Department of Pharmacology has an established animal house for carrying out experiments on animals.
We are organising academic and non-academic activities for the students in order to develop creativity and kindle their interest in Pharmacology. We emphasize on regular counselling so that we can evaluate the progress of the students and guide them accordingly on the way to success.
