PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Ph.D. English program at Era University offers career progression to students from Masters Level, Literature backgrounds. The program starts with coursework to provide students a pathway for conducting literary research, equipping them with an advanced toolkit of Literary Theories and Criticism and Research Methodology which help them navigate and interpret meanings while they review literary texts for determining context and analysis. Ph.D. scholars of English achieve lucrative career options as researchers and academic professionals. It is possible to complete the program within three and a half years through consistent efforts.

ELIGIBILITY
  • A candidate should have obtained a Master’s Degree in English with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) in aggregate or equivalent grade.
  • Those candidates who have qualified NET/ SLET shall be exempted from the entrance test.
