On the occasion of ‘World Malaria Day’ and with the aim of creating awareness among students, Department of Microbiology, Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, Era University, Lucknow organized a Poster competition for MBBS Batch 2021 Phase-II students & MSc Medical Microbiology students on April 25th, 2023. The Theme for poster competition was "Let us Join Hands to End Malaria: Fight Today-Live tomorrow" and Dr. Shadma Yaqoob (Professor) and Dr. Sarah Hassan (Asst. Professor) of Department of Microbiology were the coordinators for the Event.
The event was a grand success with the participation of many students, Faculty members and Non-Teaching Staff under the leadership of Prof (Dr.) Abbas Ali Mahdi, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Era University, Lucknow.
Posters on various aspects of health awareness were prepared and displayed by the students. Dr. Jamal Masood, Principal, Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, Era University, Lucknow, Dr. Kumkum Srivastava (Prof. Emeritus), Dr. Riaz Mehdi (Dean of Allied Health sciences and Research) and Dr. Ali Ahmad (Prof. Emeritus) were the judges for poster competitions. Medals and certificates were presented to winners.
The event came to an end with the vote of thanks by the coordinators Dr. Sarah Hassan and Dr. Shadma Yaqoob.
