A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed on 10th May 2024 between Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow (IISR), an autonomous institute of higher learning, under the umbrella of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India and ERA University (EU), Lucknow for a regular exchange of education, innovation, knowledge, technological developments, research, management programs, and skill development which will contribute to mutual benefits of ERA University and Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow.
The MOU was signed by Dr. R Viswanathan, Director, Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow and Prof. (Dr.) Abbas Ali Mahdi, Vice Chancellor, Era University, Lucknow.
Dr. R. Viswanathan and Prof. (Dr.) Abbas Ali Mahdi briefed about the profile, achievements, ongoing research and mutual collaborative programs of the Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow and Era University, Lucknow.
On this occasion Dr. L. S. Gangwar, Dr. Swapna M, and Dr. Syed Sarfaraz Hassan, Principal Scientists from Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow, Dr. Tabrez Jafar, Nodal Officer, MOU, Dr. Salman Khan, and Dr. Israr Ahmad, faculty from Department of Biotechnology were present. The program was coordinated by Dr. Salman Khan and Dr. Tabrez Jafar, Nodal officer, MOU from Department of Biotechnology, Era University, Lucknow and Dr. Kamini Singh from Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow.
