Era’s Lucknow medical college and department of biotechnology organized a hands-on workshop on the topic of “LCMS/MS in Clinical Proteomics”. The conference brought together experts, academicians, researchers, students, scientists and clinicians, providing them a comprehensive platform to identify key disease markers in human samples to provide a range of short, medium and long term diagnosis and their treatments through application of Liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. LCMS/MSM allows the more precise identification and quantification of bio-molecules and metabolites. Three key speakers were available for their plenary lecture.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Nirpendra Singh, Scientist, INSTEM Bangalore on the "Noveltools of identification of haemoglobin disorder" this talk comprises of new method development to identify the unknown mutation in Haemoglobin using high resolution mass spectroscopy.
During the second lecture, Dr. Shadab Ahmad discussed about the mass spectrometry which has revolutionized the ability to analyse complex biological molecules, offering critical insights into disease diagnosis, drug development and personalized medicine.
Third lecture was given by Dr Himanshu Tyagi who is the area manager of Sciex Company that deals with the mass spectrometry and techniques. He discussed the LCMS/MS QTRAP 4500 as well as their applications in clinical diagnosis.
The valedictory function include the addressing by Hon’ble Vice chancellor of Era University, Prof. Dr. Abbas Ali Mahdi who blessed the audience and discussed the role of LCMSMS and other high end techniques about the detection of biomarkers, amino acids, and metabolomics etc.
