“Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman” – our Constitution, our pride – is more than just a slogan; it is a tribute to the spirit of justice, equality, and dignity enshrined in the foundation of our nation. The Creative Arts Club, Era University conducted Activities and Programs at the Era Campus as per the directives of the State Government Order Reference Number: 769/ satr-3-2025-1913811 and 3068/satr-3-2024.
A Seminar was conducted on the zoom platform on April 17, 2025, on the topic “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman”. This Seminar was dedicated to spreading constitutional awareness, celebrating our rights and responsibilities as citizens, and remembering the immense legacy of Babasaheb Ambedkar – a man who rose above all odds to shape the destiny of our nation. Dr. Indra Pratap, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Policy and Public Administration, Central University of Jammu was the Resource Person for the Seminar.
There was a ‘Pushpanjali Samaroh’ for commemorating Baba Sahab Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti in the Mini-Auditorium by the faculty members of Era University on 19th April, 2025. Dr. Ambedkar was not only the chief architect of our Constitution but also a relentless crusader for social justice, a voice for the marginalized, and a symbol of intellect and integrity. His ideals continue to guide us as we strive for an inclusive and empowered India.
An Extemporaneous Speech Competition was held on 19th April, 2025, Saturday, in the Mini Auditorium, 12:00 noon onwards, on the topic “Hamara Samvidhan, Hamara Swabhiman” by the Creative Arts Club and coordinated by Mr. Kaunain Abidi and Ms. Vishakha Mehrotra from Department of Soft Skills and Department of English respectively. The competition was judged by Ms. Rubina Khatoon (English Department) and Ms Ingeela Kazmi (Soft Skills Department). The program ended with address of Dr. Rupali Mirza, Chairperson, Creative Arts Club who encouraged the students for their effective preparation and performance. Others present at the program were Dr. Sheeba Rizvi, Assistant Dean, Faculty of Science, Dr. Shazia Fatima, Co-convener, Dr. Aqeel Abbas, Mr. Kaunain Abidi, Ms. Vishakha Mehrotra, Ms. Rubina Khatoon, Mr. Ashfaq Hussain and Ms. Ingeela Kazmi.
Era University students and faculty came together by way of these programs to not only pay tribute to Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions but also to reaffirm our commitment to the values he stood for – liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice, that are enshrined in the Indian Constitution.
