The Department of Happiness & French, Era University organized an interactive session titled "Pourquoi apprendre le francais?" (Why
Learn French?) at the Mini Auditorium, University Building. It was conducted by Mr Tristan MARC, who is a native french speaker, a french language expert and a francophone.
This being Mr MARC’s first visit to Era University, he was very pleased to interact with the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Era University, Prof. Frazana Mahdi, under whose guidance and encouragement, this session could be made possible. The session aimed to create awareness about the importance and benefits of learning the French language, exploring its cultural richness, and fostering connections between individuals and communities. Mr. Tristan Marc brought forth a wealth of experience and passion for language learning, offering participants
valuable insights into the significance of mastering French in today's globalized world.
During his lecture, Mr MARC stressed on the importance of learning a foreign language; particularly French. He shared insights on the need for learning French in India as India's relationship with the French language extends beyond mere linguistic acquisition; it embodies a gateway to cultural exchange, economic opportunities, and diplomatic relations. With India's growing presence on the global stage, proficiency in French opens doors to collaboration in various sectors such as business, technology, education, and tourism.
