The Placement Cell of Era University, Lucknow organized Flipkart Upskilling program on Tuesday, 10th May 2023. It was for the students of Faculty of Science, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences & Research, College of Nursing & College of Pharmacy.
Mr. Abrar Ahmed, Senior Manager (L&OD) of Flipkart, Bangalore briefed about the company, “Flipkart is an Indian e-commerce company, headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, and incorporated in Singapore as a private limited company. The company initially focused on online book sales before expanding into other product categories such as consumer electronics, fashion, home essentials, groceries, and lifestyle products”
He has introduced flipkart latest CSR initiative called "Bright," a program designed to equip young students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the e-commerce industry. Flipkart understand that students in the university would be keen on pursuing a career in operation , customer service and other profiles. He believes that this program can bridge the gap between industry requirements and the skills they possess.
The Bright upskilling program curriculum has been developed keeping in mind the current industry requirements for hiring & it covers a range of topics “How I Prepares for the interview” Essentials of Communication- Interpersonal Skill, Essentials of Communication, Interpersonal and Teamwork skills & Employer Expectation.
He has also mentioned that, students have to be registered with Flipkart bright program with No fee. And complete 08hours of training to get a bright program certificate. After completion of 08 hours online training modules, students will get a certificate along with interview call from the Flipkart for further career in Flipkart Company or its partner company, based on location. Students are free to take decision weather they want to go with the opportunity given by the Flipkart or not, after successful completion of certification program.
Mr. Ainsley Glass -Sr. Manager (CX Outsource Partner) shared MCQ based game with students. Ms Reeta was the winner and received the Flipkart Gift. Two more students have received the Flipkart Gift from the Mr Ainseley Glass.
The idea behind organizing this Upskilling training program to connect students for further career option. Flipkart has lots of job opportunities and as per the level of job, they require a certain set of skills as explained by Mr Abrar Ahmed.
