Era College of Nursing in collaboration with Allied Health and Health Care Professional Education and Research (AHAHPER) organized Master Training Program on 6th of February 2024 for faculty members of all departments including Medical, Nursing, Allied Health, and Paramedical. Eminent national and international speakers emphasized on fighting against leading communicable diseases in India like HIV/AIDS, TB and Vector borne Diseases.
The inaugural session started with the floral welcome of all the dignitaries followed by the welcome address by Prof. HCL Rawat, Dean and Principal, Era college of Nursing. Prof. Dr. Farzana Mahdi, Pro-vice Chancellor in her address mentioned about Allied Health and Health Care Professional Education and Research (AHAHPER) and its significance. She further mentioned that communicable diseases are one of leading national problem and we as a health care professional need to remain updated in the field and should try to implement, national strategies in daily clinical practice. Guest of Honour Prof. Dr. M. M. A. Faridi, Dean, Faculty of Medicine in his address discussed about meaning of master trainer, why it’s important in our field, and how to train the faculty as master trainer.
The role play on positive way to live in a society for PLHIV (Person live with Human Immune Deficiency Virus) people was also performed by the B.Sc IV year students. The story was scripted, directed and organized by Prof. Pinky Devi, Dept. of OBG/GYN Nursing, Era College of Nursing, Era University, Lucknow.
Valedictory function was also organized in which Dr. Ghazala Zaidi, Assistant Registrar, Era University distributed certificates to all delegates.
The event came to an end with the Vote of thanks proposed by Dr. D. Anjalatchi Muthukumaran, Vice Principal & Head, Dept. of Community health nursing, Era University, Lucknow. Followed by the national anthem.
