On the occasion of National Youth Day - 2024, the Department of Computer Science, Era University, Lucknow organized a guest lecture on “INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ACT-2000” by Mr. Ravi Kumar Singh distinguished advocate at the High Court of Lucknow.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) Abbas Ali Mahdi welcomed the guest speaker by presenting the bouquet.
Mr. Singh In his lecture explained about various sections of IT ACT-2000. He further explained about the various penalties that are imposed by the IT ACT-2000.
Mr. Ravi Singh, with his wealth of experience in the legal realm, delivered an insightful lecture that delved into the role of youth in shaping the legal landscape and contributing to societal progress.
Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Mahdi spoke at length about the National Youth Day, which is celebrated every year on birthday of Swami Vivekanand. He said India is a young nation therefore it is very important for our country. He further stated that every fifth person in the world is Indian. He said that for the future of our country in the hands of youth. He said that fifty percent of Indians are less than 25 years of age.
The event coordinators Dr. Shweta Vikram and Mrs. Alfiya Mahmood distributed the prizes and certificates also to the winners, Ms. Shabahat Zehra for Quiz Competition, Ms. Areeba Fatima for Bouquet making competition, Ms. Shahida Ashiq for Mehndi competition, Mr. Sarah Faiq at Story writing competition and Mr. Shabnaz Fatima for Mug painting competition on occasion of National Youth Day.
At the end of the program, vote of thanks was given by the Head, Department of Computer Science, Prof. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar.
