One-Week International FDP in Hybrid-mode organized by Department of English
The Department(s) of English, Era University and Karamat Husain Muslim
Girls P.G. College, successfully organized the International Faculty
Development Program (FDP) on the topic "Navigating the Dynamics of
Language and Literature through Research and Education" from February
24, 2025 to March 1, 2025. The resource people in the FDP included
stalwarts of the Literary and Language sphere of study, including;
Prof . Nishi Pandey, Professor Emeritus, Lucknow University, Prof.
Asim Siddiqui, Professor and former Head, Aligarh Muslim University,
Dr. Mujtaba M. Momin, Associate Professor, American University of
Middle East AUM, in affiliation with Purdue University, Indiana, USA,
Prof . Sunrita Dhar, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK, Prof.
Arti Srivastava, Professor and Head, NIEPA, New Delhi and Prof. Ilka
Luyt, Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Prof. Tanveer
Khadija, Head, Department of English, KMCLU and Prof. Huma Yaqub,
Incharge, MANUU, Lucknow.
The International FDP was organized under the patronage of Prof. Abbas
Ali Mahdi, Vice Chancellor, Era University and hon’ble Pro-Vice
Chancellor, Prof. Farzana Mahdi. Dr. Rupali Mirza, Head, Department of
English was the Convener, Dr.Saleha Jafri and Dr.Aqeel Abbas were the
organizing secretaries, Ms.Vishakha Mehrotra, and Ms.Rubeena Khatoon
were the organizing members from Era University. From Karamat Husain
Muslim Girls P.G. College, the International FDP is was organized
under the patronage of Syed Naved Ahmad, Manager and Prof. Huma
Khwaja, Principal , Dr. Ayesha Warsi, Head, Department of English was
the Convener, Dr.Naila Ahmad Suhail and Dr.Shazia Khatoon were the
organizing secretaries, Dr.Tabinda Shamim, Ms.Namrah Rizvi, Ms.Iram
Jahan were the organizing members. The event witnessed the presence of
faculty members from various disciplines, along with more than 170
offline and online participants, marking a significant academic
discourse in language and literature.
