Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Era University in collaboration with the Department of Liberal Education has organized a hybrid mode one-day seminar on Effective Implementation of National Education Policy 2020 on March 5, 2025. The seminar was an attempt to create awareness about National Education policy (NEP) 2020 and discuss the issues in implementing the policy. All the stakeholder authorities, administrative officials, faculty members and students were part of it. Patrons Director and Deputy Director IQAC, Era University Col. D. K. Wasunkar and Dr. Siddarth Chandel respectively graced the event. Student representatives of NEP called SAARTHI were also present on the event. The event initiated with the welcome note of Dr. Sheeba Rizvi, Convenor and Head Department of Liberal Education. Followed by the address of Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Mahdi. Prof Mahdi pointed out the need of awareness about NEP 2020 and informed the audience about initiatives taken by Era University for it’s implementation. The first lecture was delivered by the Dr. Subhash Mishra, Associate Professor, Department of Education BBAU Lucknow. Dr. Mishra focused on the need of change in the conventional thought process of the people about education. He emphasise that NEP 2020 is rejuvenating the Indian concept of education that is skill based experiential learning. The second lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Narendra Kumar Pandey, Professor Department of Physics, Lucknow University. Professor Pandey discussed the National Credit framework, curriculum, structure and also through light on the Academic Bank of Credits and Multiple entry and exit plan of NEP 2020. Faculty members and students turned the seminar in a brain storming discussing with shooting questions about the topic. Both the speakers addressed all the queries. The program was a huge success as NEP 2020 awareness is a must know concept for all. The event was successfully organized by the Convenor Dr. Sheeba Rizvi and organizing secretaries Dr. Toukeer Khan, Dr. Abdul Qudoos, Dr. Saurabh Tiwari and organizing team. Winners of the Nukkad Natak competition organised for NEP 2020 awareness were also distributed by the esteemed guests after lectures. Col. Wasunkar extended the vote of thanks to speakers and audience pointing out the very enlightened event for everyone. Altogether 200 participants attended the seminar and is a proof of its utility.
