Department of English in collaboration with the Ph.D. Cell organized Guest Lecture on “Research Ethics” for all Ph.D. Scholars on February 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. onwards in the Mini Auditorium, Era University, Lucknow. The Resource Person for the lecture was Prof. Dr. Tanveer Khadija, Head, Department of English and Modern European & Asian Languages, Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti Language University, Lucknow. The program started with a welcome speech by Dr. Aqeel Abbas, followed by introductory video and foundation by Ms. Saleha Jafri and Ms. Vishakha Mehrotra, Faculty members from the Department of English. The Guest Lecture by Prof. Tanveer Khadija was a guiding pathway for the Research Scholars who were oriented about the nuances of ethical research. They were apprised about the notions of IPR; Intellectual Property Rights, Copyright, Plagiarism, Referencing and Citation and other important concepts of ‘Ethical Research’ writing and documentation.
The lecture was followed by memento presentation to the Resource Person, Prof. Tanveer Khadija by hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi and Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Farzana Mahdi. The hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi felicitated the organizing team, namely, Prof. Jamal Masood, Event Incharge, Principal and CMS, ELMC&H and Chairperson, Ph.D. Cell, Dr. Rupali Mirza, Convener of the program and Head, Department of English, Ms. Saleha Jafri, Dr. Mirza Aqeel Abbas and Ms. Vishakha Mehrotra, Organizing Secretaries and faculty members from the Department of English. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rupali Mirza, Head, Department of English. The Guest Lecture was attended by all the Ph.D. scholars enrolled at Era University, dignitaries including, Principal and CMS, ELMC&H and Chairperson, Ph.D. Cell, Prof. Jamal Masood, Dean Research and Development, Prof. Sher Ali, Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. A.K. Srivastava, Placement Incharge, Mohd. Azharuddin and other faculty members from Era University.
