Department of Biotechnology, Era University, Lucknow organized a guest lecture on the topic "A Novel Approach to making this world disease free" for students and faculty members of Era University on 28th December 2024. The guest speaker of the day was Dr. Ahmad Waseem, Professor of Molecular and Cellular Oral Biology at the Centre for Immunobiology and Regenerative Medicine, Institute of Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London, UK. The program started with the welcome address by Dr. Tabrez Jafar, Head, Department of Biotechnology where he welcomed and introduced the guest to the audience. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi in his address shared the words of wisdom with the audience and appreciated the efforts of Department of Biotechnology in organizing the Guest Lecture. Dr. Ahmad Waseem addressed the audience and made them aware about the importance of collaborative research emphasizing its effectiveness and efficiency. He also introduced the FRIS (Friends of Researchers in the Indian Subcontinent) charity to the audience and mentioned the role it can play to do the research in the field of Biomedical research for the students of 7 countries of the Indian subcontinent.
