The 75th Republic Day was celebrated by Era University in a grand manner on January 26th 2024 at the campus. The occasion was enhanced by the gracious presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi. Zeal, enthusiasm, and patriotism were reflected by the active participation of the Deans, Faculty members, students and staff members.
The program started with the Flag Hoisting by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Abbas Ali Mahdi followed by national anthem and 2 min silence in the memory of Martyrs' who sacrificed their lives during the struggle for India's freedom. Students also presented a short play to represent the sacrifice of martyrs for our country. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahdi in his address welcomed Registrar, Asst. Registrar, Deans, Faculty Members, Staff Members and Students. She highlighted the history and reason of Republic day being celebrated and stated that the ‘Constitution of India’ is infused with Fundamental Rights and the framework for the Government to function in a transparent & accountable manner. He emphasized that Era University was established in 2016 with the aim of getting holistic development of the students and stated that we here at Era University do not just focus on achieving academic excellence bust also emphasize on developing qualities like confidence, team work, sincerity, discipline, good moral character making students a good human being. He advised students to set up their goals and start working towards achieving it.
The program concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Prof. Anu Chandra, Registrar, Era University and distribution of sweets to students and staff members.
