On the occasion of National Anti Leprosy Day on 30th January 2024, Dept of Dermatology & Department of Community Medicine, Era’s Lucknow Medical College organised a guest lecture to raise awareness about Leprosy. On this occasion Dr. Jaya Dehlivi, State Leprosy officer, Uttar Pradesh, delivered a talk on “END GAME STRATEGIES IN ERADICATION OF LEPROSY”, while Dr. Sumit Gupta, Consultant Dermatologist based in Lucknow, talked about “General Awareness in Leprosy”. Dr. Atul Singhal, District Leprosy Officer also participated in the event. Dean, Principal & HOD, Dept. of Dermatology, Dr. Savita Chaudhary along with Faculty, Residents and students of Dermatology Department, ELMCH graced the occasion & and pledged to strengthen the efforts to provide sufficient health care services to Leprosy patients. The provision to provide MDT to Leprosy patients at ELMCH was also discussed with Dr. Jaya and Dr. Atul Singhal and they assured us regarding the same. MBBS students of ELMCH also participated in a poster making competition for World Leprosy Day.
