Department of Liberal Education, Era University, organized a workshop on "Consequences of Environmental Change and Imbalances" on September 16, 2019. The workshop started with the Inaugural Function graced by the Hon'ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Farzana Mahdi, Dean, Faculty of Science and Arts. Prof. A. K. Srivastava, and Head of the Department of Liberal Education, Prof. Meeta Ghosh. The resource person of the workshop was Dr.Venkatesh Dutta, Associate Professor, Department of Environmental Science, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. The objective of the workshop was to inform and update students about the present global environmental crisis, which to a great extent is created by human activities and their enormous ecological footprint.
Hon'ble Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Farzana Mahdi was the Chief Guest who delivered her thought-provoking address regarding environmental issues to all the guests and students present on the occasion. She also announced the introduction of small scale recycling projects involving students of the university.

Priyanka Ghosh, Assistant Professor of Geography and Environmental Science and Dr. Shazia Fatima, Faculty of Exercise Science and Health Promotion respectively. The program was also graced by faculty members of Liberal Education, Dr. Rupali Mirza, Dr.Ipsita Sarkar, Dr. Madhu Pandey, Ms. Yashi Verma, Ms. Hershika Verma, Ms. Hansa Johri, Mr. Saurabh Tiwari, Ms. Sana Jafri, Dr. Ghazala Zaidi, and Ms.Somya Makhija.
