Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital has been Included in the green channel payment (GCP) under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, said Prof A.A. Mahdi Vice Chancellor of Era University in a press conference on Monday. Under GCP, a partial payment of 50% of the claim amount will be released automatically to hospitals through the system at the time of claim submission, while the balance will be released following the usual claim adjustment process, he said. The university organised a programme to mark five years of completion of Ayushman Bharat scheme on campus.
The government introduced this to facilitate the process for hospitals that treat individuals covered by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (ABPM-JAY). A total of 2,922 patients have benefited through Ayushman Bharat. The Cardiothoracic and vascular surgery department has performed 531 open heart surgeries since 2018, with 241 of these cases being covered by the scheme,” said Prof Mahdi.
