On the auspicious occasion of the 10th International Yoga Day, program was organized at Era University on Friday, 21st June, 2024. A 10-day yoga training was also organized on this occasion. Prof. (Dr.) Abbas Ali Mahdi, Vice-Chancellor of Era University, stated that yoga is very important and necessary for physical and mental health. He said that the National Medical Commission has included yoga and meditation in the medical curriculum to bring discipline in students to provide physical and mental support to face stress and adversity. In this context, Prof. (Dr.) Jamal Masood, Principal of Era Medical College, said that Yoga is spiritual practice which relieves us of many ailments physically and makes human body externally and internally healthy and Fit.
Professor (Dr.) M. M. A. Faridi, Dean (Emeritus) of Era Medical College, said that yoga provides mental peace to a person, helps in getting good sleep and relieves stress and fatigue.
