Era University Lucknow has organized its much awaited sports and cultural event for academic session 2023, UDGHOSH 23 from October 31, 2023 to November 04, 2023. Students of Faculty of Science (Warriors), Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (Spartans), Faculty of Nursing (Trojans) and Faculty of Pharmacy (Panthers) competed with each other in different sports and cultural competitions. Athletics, Football, Cricket, Basketball, Throw ball, Chess and Carom competitions were organized for boys and girls. Wherever in cultural events singing, dancing, Object painting, Photography, Skit, Poetry, Debate and Model Making competitions have been organized. UDGHOSH started with an inaugural session organized at main ground in the auspicious presence of Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Mahdi. She lit up the torch symbolize the spirit of sportsmanship and team efforts. Prof. Mahdi addressed students and encouraged them to participate in sports and cultural events for the holistic development of personality. Chairperson of sports committee Mr. Bidhyut Dubey also addressed the gathering and briefed them about the schedule of the events. All the competitions have been completed smoothly in the strict supervision of faculty coordinators and Disciplinary committee headed by Dr. Priscilla Samson. UDGHOSH completed with the memorable cultural eve in which winners of different cultural competitions performed before audience. The program was graced by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi and Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Farzana Mahdi along with Dr. Anu Chanrda, Registrar Era University and Assistant Registrar Dr. Ghazala Zaidi. All the deans, Heads, faculty members and students have also enjoyed the performances. Guests were happily surprised when students served their self-made non flame cooked dishes before them for the non-fire cooking competition. This competition was organized under the supervision of Dr. Shikha Srivastava. The attraction of the event was the “fashion show” beautifully supervised by Mrs. Soniya Agnese Singh represented the culture of different states of India by students. All the volunteer students and performers were well coordinated backstage by Mrs. Hershika Verma. UDGHOSH took adieu till next year with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Swati Joshi, Chairperson Cultural committee. She conveyed heartfelt gratitude to each and every one who directly or indirectly contributed to the success of the event.
