The Orientation Program for students of Faculty of Medicine for MBBS
course started with the Induction Program on September 1, 2023 at the
main auditorium of the Era University, Lucknow.
The Induction program was graced by prominent dignitaries including
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi, Dean (Emeritus) Prof.
M.M.A. Faridi, Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent -Prof. Jamal
Masood, Controller of Examination, Prof. Tasleem Raza, Dean Student’s
Welfare Prof. Siddharth Chandel, Proctor Prof. Dilshad Ali Rizvi and Prof.
Brijesh Rathore, Incharge, Induction and Orientation Program along with
Head of the Departments of Anatomy-Prof Vineeta Tewari, Physiology-Prof
Seema Singh and Community Medicine-Prof Prabha Srivastava and other
faculty members. All students along with their parents attended the
program very enthusiastically.
Speaking on the occasion Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Era University Prof.
Mahdi emphasized the importance of compliance to discipline, attendance,
punctuality and other institutional rules and regulations on campus. He
advised the students to maintain hundred percent attendance so that they
may become well-versed in their subject knowledge. He spoke
about various facilities available at Era’s Lucknow Medical College and
Hospital. He also told the students about the Department of Happiness at
Era University which is one of its kind in the State.
The Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent Prof. Jamal Masood
briefed the students about Faculties and Departments at Era’s Lucknow
Medical College and Hospital and
also administered Maharishi Charak shapath to the students.
The Controller of Examination, Prof. Tasleem Raza shared the examination
pattern at Era University. The Proctor, Dr. Dilshad Rizvi discussed
discipline-related expectations with the students. Dean Emeritus Prof.
Faridi welcomed the students and assured them that the faculty on
campus is there to assist them with any issues. He discussed in detail
about the facilities available at the College including teaching with the aid
of Medico-games, Medico-skill software, Medical animation and skill lab.
He also spoke about the importance of communication skills and
counseled the students to focus on self-improvement.
The Program ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Brijesh Rathore,
Incharge, MBBS Foundation Program who thanked the entire team for
arranging the program with efficiency.
