The Department of Dermatology, Era's Lucknow Medical College & Hospital, in association with Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy organized a Public Awareness Programme for vitiligo, leprosy, steroid abuse, HIV and other chronic skin diseases.
On this occasion the Residents of the Department of Dermatology presented short educational skits for the public and a Ratha designed with informative audio-visuals was also brought by the Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy to educate the masses regarding skin diseases and the myths and misconceptions associated with them. Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Abbas Ali Mahdi addressed the gathering and spoke about various issues and misconceptions relating to skin related disorders. He complimented the Department of Dermatology and the residents for organizing the program for the benefit of the general public.
Principal & Dean Prof. M.M.A. Faridi, Dr. Sumit Gupta, Secretary, Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (U.P./U.K. Chapter), faculty members of the Department of Dermatology and a large number of the general public was present on the occasion. Dr. Soumya Agarwal, Assistant Professor, welcomed the guests and briefed the audience about the program.
