CME Workshop on Geriatric Health was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital Lucknow. This workshop aimed to impart training to the various faculty members from General medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Community Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Psychiatry and other departments so that they could provide quality care and embrace a comprehensive approach to geriatric health To facilitate this initiative, a proposal for the workshop titled "Geriatric Health" was sent to Dr. Umesh Kapil, Secretary of the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS). Established in 1961, NAMS has been actively involved in organizing CME activities to keep healthcare professionals updated with developments in the different specialized field. Dr. Umesh Kapil played a pivotal role in organizing this CME workshop sponsored by NAMS. The inaugural function commenced at 10:00 am with a floral welcome extended to dignitaries. The distinguished guests included Prof. (Dr) Abbas Ali Mahdi- Vice Chancellor Era University; Prof. (Dr) Farzana Mahdi- Pro Vice Chancellor Era University; Prof. (Dr) Jamal Masood - Principal and CMS ELMCH; Prof. Amita Jain, Dean Faculty of Medicine KGMU; Prof (Dr) Kausar Usman -Department of Medicine; Dr Gowri N Sen Gupta- DDG(PH) & Director (CHEB), DGHS, Ministry of Health &Family Welfare. Following this, a ceremonial lighting of the lamp was conducted by notable figures. Dr. Wafa Shamim and Dr Shahbaz Patel, Junior Resident, Department of Community Medicine anchored the CME Workshop.
Prof. (Dr) Jamal Masood, Principal and CMS, Era’s Lucknow Medical College and Hospital, delivered the welcome address.
